Well what a gig that was! Massive thanks to Glaston-Bury Festival and our hosts on the the day The House of Bridget for an unforgettable day. From the moment we arrived there was a huge buzz about the town with hordes of people enjoying the outdoor stages, and music spilling out of seemingly every bar. Sometimes its a shame to be playing instead of being able to join in the fun and watch all the talent.
The crowd in the House of Bridget was already buzzing when we arrived and we'd like to thank everyone who helped us to keep that going. What an audience! It really helps a band when we get that level of feedback, dancing, singing along and banter. We enjoyed every minute of it and didn't want to leave the stage!
We've added a couple of videos to the Video Page on here and our Youtube Channel. Its mobile footage so doesn't capture the fab sound quality the venue PA produced for us, but it gives an idea of the fun we had!
After recovering from the excitement of the day its back to the studio for us to finish of a few new tunes. If you have seen us live recently you will have heard a couple of tracks that we haven't yet released. After the reception these songs have been getting we've decided to release them in the next few weeks, rather than keep them locked away until the next album comes out. So look out for a new video and single release for "Last Farewell of Mary" and maybe one or two others in the coming weeks.
As any original artist will tell you its not easy finding avenues and audiences ready for a full set of new original music. Whilst our primary aim is to spread the joy of our own tunes far and wide, we had such a blast at Glaston-Bury we've decided to work on a special set that features more of the British Invasion classics that inspired us, and seem so popular with live audiences. We'll be performing Pop and rock classics from the likes of the Rolling Stones, Beatles, the Who, The Searchers, Dusty Springfield, the Turtles, (you'll know it when you hear it!), and more. With our new drummer on board for future gigs get ready for a lively night of power pop classics and songs you forgot you loved! more details of where ands when soon!
